Almost 100 hopefuls turned out for auditions for Oliver! on the weekend of August 22. Actors from the ages of 8 to 80 appeared at the Reston Community Players' Rehearsal Hall to dance, sing, pace, rehearse lines, fight off nerves, and sometimes just hurry up and wait.
After many difficult decisions, director Lisa Shermeyer and her staff selected a cast from among the 30 boys and girls and 65 adults.
Our band of lovable orphan pickpockets left town on November 22.
