1776: A Musical Play

Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM: October 25 (includes Opening Night reception), October 26, November 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, and 16, 2002.

Sunday Matinees at 2:30 PM: November 3 and 10, 2002.

The Saturday, October 26 performance has been designated "American Hero Night." On that evening, we invite military personnel and local firemen and policemen to attend the show; the cast will present them with a special salute immediately following the performance. RCP will offer a minimum of 60 complimentary tickets to our local American heroes.

The master Noel Coward brings his English bite and audacious satire to our stage in the character of Gary Essendine, a popular and pampered actor. Chaos and hilarity reign when a stage-struck starlet plays musical bedrooms; meanwhile, Gary has to sidestep the complications and confusion when his wife (estranged) and partners discover his misinterpreted situation.

The story of Fanny Brice, one of the most celebrated comediennes of her time. Born in New York City, famous in burlesque and vaudeville from the age of 13, Fanny finally hit the Ziegfield Follies. She never looked back, laughing through her troubles with her handsome con-man husband, Nicky Arnstein. Hear some of the most endearing music of the Broadway theater: People, Don't Rain on My Parade, I'm the Greatest Star, and more.
